Salt Lake City, UT - Join the holiday fun and and donate blood during the American Red Cross blood drive on July 24 at the Salt Lake Donor Center, 6616 South 900 East from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.    

When you roll up your sleeves and present to donate, enter our drawing for a Phantom 150cc scooter to be given away on August 3. You could be rolling down the road in style on a new scooter, sponsored in part by Russ Temple Motors in Orem.

All presenting donors will also be entered into drawings throughout the day for several prizes including All-Experience passes to the Van's Warped Tour concert on August 8, Bees baseball tickets, Hogle Zoo day passes and Days of ’47 Rodeo tickets. 

 “In Utah someone needs blood every eight minutes but summer months are a difficult time to collect blood because potential blood donors are busy visiting the zoo or parks or camping or vacationing,” said JaLae Thompson, donor recruitment manager of the American Red Cross Blood Services.  “We want to invite Utahns to come celebrate their past on Pioneer Day in a way that helps ensure hospital patients have a future by donating blood.”
